Install & use

Short version for now. We'll expand this as the public release firms up.

Requirements

  • Premiere Pro with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Metal)
  • macOS

Install

Copy Super8.plugin into:

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/

Fully quit Premiere (Cmd+Q), reopen, then search Effects for Super8.

First look

Drop it on a clip. Start with Intensity around 60–80, Weave 25–40, Softness 40–60, Halation 50–80, Grain ~40. Turn on Motion Blur only when you want shutter smear on moving footage.
